About this place

The Musée de la Résistance en Morvan is located in Saint-Brisson, within the grounds of the Morvan Regional Nature Park Centre. The museum explores the important role played by the Resistance and the Maquis in the Morvan during the Second World War. Objects, archive documents, photographs, weapons and clothing illustrate the German occupation, the Resistance and the liberation of the Morvan. An immersive audiovisual presentation offers an insight into daily life within the Maquis groups. Completely renovated in 2023, the museum provides an impressive and accessible introduction to this defining period in the region’s history.
