Rental “Le Tilleul”
1. General
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to the rental of “Le Tilleul”, hereinafter referred to as ‘accommodation’.
1.2 By making a booking, the booker agrees to these terms and conditions.
2. Rental period
2.1 The rental period is determined by agreement between the booker and the owner.
2.2 The minimum rental period is 2 nights in the low season and 4 nights in the high season, as stated on the rates page, unless otherwise agreed.
3. Number of persons
3.1 The accommodation is suitable for up to 5 people, plus a baby if required.
3.2 The number of persons may not exceed the number agreed upon at the time of booking, unless approved in advance in writing by the owner.
3.3 If the booker wishes to receive guests during the day, this must be notified in advance to the owner.
4. Dogs
4.1 The booker is obliged to inform the owner in advance of the number of dogs.
4.2 A maximum of 3 dogs are allowed, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the owner in advance.
4.3 Dogs are not allowed in the bedroom.
4.4 Dogs are not allowed on the sofa or chairs.
4.5 Dogs may not be left alone in the accommodation for more than one part of the day, unless otherwise agreed with the owner.
4.5 The booker must walk the dogs outside the garden and is responsible for cleaning up any accidental feaces in the garden.
4.6 The booker must ensure that the dogs do not cause a nuisance to neighbors or other guests.
4.7 The owner reserves the right to refuse non-socialised or aggressive dogs.
4.8 The owner is not liable if dogs go through or over the fence.
5. Payments
5.1 Payments must be made via the offered platform of payment provider Mollie, unless agreed otherwise with the owner.
5.2 For arrivals within 8 weeks, the full rental amount must be paid when making the booking.
5.3 For a booking longer than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date, the booker must pay a minimum down payment of 50% of the rental amount immediately when making the booking. The remaining 50% must be paid 8 weeks prior to the arrival date, with a payment period of 10 days.
5.4 In the event of late payment, the owner reserves the right to cancel the booking. Refund will then be in accordance with the cancellation conditions.
5.5 Changing your booking
5.5.1 You may change your booking once free of charge
5.5.2 If the new arrival date is later than the original arrival date, the cancellation policy deadlines will continue to apply based on the dates originally booked.
5.5.3 We will charge €25 for any further changes to your booking made at your request.
6. Cancellation conditions
6.1 Cancel up to 8 weeks before the arrival date: 100% of the rental amount will be refunded, minus a 25 euro administration fee
6.2 Cancel between 4 and 8 weeks before the arrival date: 50% of the rental amount will be refunded.
6.3 Cancellation within 4 weeks before the arrival date: there will be no refund.
7. Deposit
7.1 A security deposit is charged and must be paid together with the rental amount prior to arrival.
7.2 The full security deposit will be refunded within 5 working days of departure, provided no damage is found during the final clean or the tenant has not failed to comply with the departure instructions.
7.3 Any additional use of electricity in the house or charging of the car will also be deducted from the deposit.
7.4 Below is an indication of items for which we will deduct from the deposit:
7.4.1 A glass, cup or plate may break; we do not deduct a deposit for this.
7.4.2 Lost key: 15 euros
7.4.3 Missing or unusable towels or bed linen: €10 per towel & €20 per fitted sheet or €30 per duvet cover
7.4.4 Unusable pans: 40 euros per pan
7.4.5 Damaged furniture: depending on the item of furniture and its replacement value
7.4.6 Other damage to the property: depending on the damage and repair options
7.4.7 Dog feaces left in the back garden: 25 euros
7.4.8 Excessive cleaning: We expect you to leave the property tidy in accordance with these terms and conditions. If we find that we need more time than usual to get the property ready for the next guests, we will deduct 25 euros per hour from the deposit for every extra hour we spend on cleaning.
8. Arrival and departure
8.1 Check-in is possible between 4:00 and 9:00 pm, unless otherwise agreed with the owner.
8.2 Check-out must take place between 8.00 and 10:00 am, unless otherwise agreed with the owner. There is a joint check-out with the owner.
8.3 The tenant must leave the accommodation swept clean and in a tidy condition. Instructions on how to do this will be found on the table upon arrival.
9. Conduct and use of accommodation
9.1 Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the accommodation.
9.2 Drug use is not allowed in the accommodation and on the premises.
9.3 Parties and events are not allowed in the accommodation on the premises.
9.4 There must be silence between 22:00 and 08:00 o’clock.
9.5 Commercial photography is allowed, provided it is approved in advance by the owner and does not cause a nuisance.
9.6 The use of the barbecue is only allowed outside on the gravel.
9.7 Booker must comply with all energy and water saving measures imposed by the government.
10. Heating and electricity
10.1 The wood-burning stove is the main source of heating for the living room and must be used as such.|
10.2 The electric heater in the living room may only be used in eco mode, for example at night or when you are away.
10.3 Use heating sensibly and do not leave electric heaters on unnecessarily.
10.4 Charging electric vehicles without prior consultation with the owner is not permitted. The costs, in accordance with the rates page, will be deducted from the deposit.
10.5 The use of water and electricity (normal usage, max. 20 kWh per day) is included in the rental price; additional electricity usage, in accordance with the rates page, will be deducted from the deposit.
11. Cleaning
11.1 The tenant must hand over the accommodation in accordance with the instructions for leave left on the table upon arrival.
11.2 The tenant must keep the accommodation tidy throughout their stay.
11.3 The tenant must report immediately upon arrival if the accommodation is not found to be clean.
12. Damage and loss
12.1 The booker is responsible for damage to the accommodation or inventory and must compensate for it.
12.2 The booker must report damage or loss to the owner immediately.
12.3 The booker has provided an inventory list. The booker should report immediately upon commencement if items are missing or broken to the owner.
12.4 Any damage to the accommodation will be deducted from the security deposit or charged to the booker’s liability insurance.
12.5 The owner reserves the right to notify the booker of any additional damage within 48 hours of the joint check-out and to deduct this from the security deposit.
13. Access to accommodation
13.1 The owner reserves the right, if necessary, to enter the accommodation at any time, e.g. for inspections, maintenance or emergencies.
13.2 The owner will, if possible, inform the booker in advance about entering the accommodation.
14.Liability
14.1 The owner is not liable for damage, loss or injury during the stay, unless caused by intent or gross negligence.
14.2 The booker is fully responsible for his own safety and that of his guests and dogs.
14.3 The owner is not liable for unforeseen circumstances such as power cuts, natural disasters or government measures.
15. Applicable law
15.1 These terms and conditions are governed by French law.
15.2 Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in France.
16. Privacy
16.1 The owner processes personal data only for the execution of the booking.
16.2 Data will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.
