Rental “La Petite Maison”

1. General

1.1 These terms and conditions apply to the rental of “La Petite Maison”, hereinafter referred to as ‘accommodation’.
1.2 By making a booking, the booker agrees to these terms and conditions.

2. Rental period

2.1 The rental period is determined by agreement between the booker and the owner.
2.2 The minimum rental period is 2 nights, unless otherwise agreed.

3. Number of persons

3.1 The accommodation is suitable for a maximum of 2 persons.
3.2 The number of persons may not exceed the number agreed upon at the time of booking, unless approved in advance in writing by the owner.
3.3 If the booker wishes to receive guests during the day, this must be notified in advance to the owner.

4. Dogs

4.1 The booker is obliged to inform the owner in advance of the number of dogs.
4.2 A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the owner in advance.
4.3 Dogs are not allowed in the bedroom.
4.4 Dogs are not allowed on the sofa or chairs.
4.5 Dogs may not be left alone in the accommodation for more than one part of the day, unless otherwise agreed with the owner.
4.5 The booker must walk the dogs outside the garden and is responsible for cleaning up any faeces in the garden.
4.6 The booker must ensure that the dogs do not cause a nuisance to neighbours or other guests.
4.7 The owner reserves the right to refuse non-socialised or aggressive dogs.
4.8 The owner is not liable if dogs go through or over the fence.

5. Payments

5.1 Payments must be made via the offered platform of payment provider Mollie, unless agreed otherwise with the owner.
5.2 For arrivals within 8 weeks, the full rental amount must be paid when making the booking.
5.3 For a booking longer than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date, the booker must pay a minimum down payment of 50% of the rental amount immediately when making the booking. The remaining 50% must be paid 8 weeks prior to the arrival date, with a payment period of 10 days.
5.4 In the event of late payment, the owner reserves the right to cancel the booking. Refund will then be in accordance with the cancellation conditions.
5.5 Cancellation conditions:
5.5.1 Cancel between 4 and 8 weeks before the arrival date: 50% of the rental amount will be refunded.
5.5.2 Cancellation within 4 weeks before the arrival date: there will be no refund.

6. Arrival and departure

6.1 Check-in is possible between 16:00 and 22:00, unless otherwise agreed with the owner.
6.2 Check-out must take place before 10:00, unless otherwise agreed with the owner.
6.3 The booker must leave the accommodation broom-clean and in a tidy condition.

7. Conduct and use of accommodation

7.1 Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the accommodation.
7.2 Drug use is not allowed on the premises.
7.3 Parties and events are not allowed on the premises.
7.4 There must be silence between 22:00 and 08:00 o’clock.
7.5 Commercial photography is allowed, provided it is approved in advance by the owner and does not cause a nuisance.
7.6 The use of the barbecue is only allowed outside on the terrace. It is not allowed to use the barbecue inside.
7.7 Booker must comply with all energy and water saving measures imposed by the government.

8. Heating and electricity

8.1 The wood-burning stove is the primary heat source for the living room and should be used as such.
8.2 The electric stove in the living room should only be used in eco mode, e.g. at night or when absent.
8.3 Fuel consciously and do not leave electric stoves on unnecessarily.
8.4 Charging of electric vehicles without prior consultation with the owner is not allowed.

9. Cleaning

9.1 The accommodation will be delivered broom-clean by the booker.
9.2 The booker must keep the accommodation tidy.
9.3 Upon departure, the waste bins must be emptied and disposed of in the designated containers by the booker.
9.4 The booker must report immediately upon departure if the accommodation is not found clean.

10. Damage and loss

10.1 The booker is responsible for damage to the accommodation or inventory and must compensate for it.
10.2 The booker must report damage or loss to the owner immediately.
10.3 The booker has provided an inventory list. The booker should report immediately upon commencement if items are missing or broken to the owner.

11. Access to accommodation

11.1 The owner reserves the right, if necessary, to enter the accommodation at any time, e.g. for inspections, maintenance or emergencies.
11.2 The owner will, if possible, inform the booker in advance about entering the accommodation, except in case of emergency.

12.Liability

12.1 The owner is not liable for damage, loss or injury during the stay, unless caused by intent or gross negligence.
12.2 The booker is fully responsible for his own safety and that of his guests and dogs.
12.3 The owner is not liable for unforeseen circumstances such as power cuts, natural disasters or government measures.

13. Applicable law

13.1 These terms and conditions are governed by French law.
13.2 Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in France.

14. Privacy

14.1 The owner processes personal data only for the execution of the booking.
14.2 Data will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.
